Settling Down to Sleep - Tellurian - Evening of March 18th

[Mouse]

Rhia - Corvid

With a flutter of feathers, Rhia settled down on the highest branch of her Oak tree, fluffing her feathers against the slight chill in the air. She shifted her weight back and forth on her talons for a moment, staring out at the dim glow on the horizon that was downtown Louisville. Then she settled down, her fluffed feathers covering her legs, and closed her eyes, letting sleep take her.

Bete - Feline

Softly trodding through the grass, Bete walks over to Rhia's tree and lays down by the roots, watching the sun's decent behind downtown.

[Mouse]

A single yellow eye cracked open, and looked down at the feline sleeping at the bottom of her tree. Her feather's fluffed up defensively, before she recognized who it was. She let out a caw of greeting.

[Bete Orasmyn]

Jumping at the sudden sound, Bete looked up with golden-green eyes wide and her tail all bottle brush puffed. After noticing who it was, she calmed down and jumped up on to the nearest branch. After shifting into her homid form, Bete leaned against the trunk of the tree. "Hey Miss Rhia, didn't know you were up here," she said with a slight lilt to her voice.

[Mouse]

Rhia cocked her head to the side, watching Bete talk for a moment. (Spending a gnosis) The, she piped up in plain english. "Hello Bete. What are you doing out here this late?" she asks.

[Bete Orasmyn]

Bete shifts uncomfortably. "Oh nothing really. Just feeling a bit.....er....how do I put it...needing to wander," she says. "I didn't wake you or anything did I?"

[Mouse]

Rhia hops down a few branches, her head tilting to the side. "No, I wasn't asleep yet." she caws.

[Bete Orasmyn]

Bete sighs with relief, "Good. I would have felt really horrible for disturbing your sleep." She sighs again and turns to watch the final colors of the sun start to give way to the on coming night sky.

[Mouse]

Rhia reached around to preen her feathers for a moment, and then looked back to Bete. "What do you think of my tree? I sleep here every night, in Corvid like this."

[Bete Orasmyn]

"It's actually very comfy," Bete says with a slight grin. "You get such a wonderful view of the city from here. I'm a bit jealous actually," she giggles.

[Mouse]

Rhia caws softly, turning to look at the lights from the city. "Well, you're more than welcome to share it with me."

[Bete Orasmyn]

Bete smiles. "Thanks Rhia. You're a really great friend," she says before shifting down into her feline form and curling up to go to sleep.

[DerekCase]

About two hours later, Darien stealthily sneaks up to the tree and in crinos reaches up and snatches Rhia very gently from her tree. "Is this where you sleep every night, Little Get?"

[Mouse]

Rhia wiggles her feet, grabbing for something solid with her talons sleepily. "Mmmm...Darien? Why...tree? Yea...sleep."

[Bete Orasmyn]

Bete shifted slightly and mumbled in her sleep.

[DerekCase]

Smiling, he says softly, "This will not do," and he teleports back to his house, gently setting her down in an unused guest room.

[Mr Speaks]

Rhia grumbled, slowly shifting to homid, and curling up on the bed. "But...tree..." she mumbles.

[DerekCase]

Darien slowly creeps out of the room and teleports back to the bawn.

Bete shifts a bit more and then stretchs out a foreleg before going back to sleep.
