No More Waiting

Edith sat in her hotel room waiting for Arcos's return. It was dusk and she still hadn't heard from him.
What is taking him so long? It's been three days already. He should know how impatient I can be.
"Fuck it!" she growls and grabs his keys off of the bedside table. She walks outside and mounts Arcos's motorcycle.

It wouldn't take Edith long to get to the park, assuming that's where he was. I hope he hasn't gotten himself into too much trouble; Gaia knows what he may have run into. I warned him not to go, but his incessant thirst for information made him impossible to reason with. He probably just got distracted by something shiny. She chuckled as she sped closer to the park.

When she arrived night had already fallen. She was surprised to find that the park was gated. When did this place become private? Well, what to do now? How do I get his attention? I don't even know if he's here! She impatiently growls and peeks through the gate, looking for any signs of that damned bird.

A black bear in ursine approaches and sniffs through the gate at Edith.

Edith sniffs back. "I hope you're a Gurahl and not just a random bear."

He paws at the dirt and snorts a little before laying down and looking up at Edith...

"Dammit! Well, that tells me nothing." She sighs and squints at the bear, "Hmm, if you are a Gurahl then maybe there are others as well. Maybe I should introduce myself, Edith "Fisthammer" Kraft, Homid, Cliath, Aroun of the Get of Fenris."

The bear sits up and almost smiles at her before opening his mouth and speaking(in Garou). "Hello Edith, I am Liam "Silver Slinger" O'Connor, Latrani Son of the Nuwisha. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Oh, thank Gaia! So, are there any others like you or myself? Also have you seen either a raven or perhaps a teenage male with black hair and lip piercings...talks too much?"

[Happy]

He takes a second and shifts into Homid(see pic below). "No, I've never even seen a corax before, but there are several like you here." He then pulls a flask out of his vest and takes a drink.

She sighs, "I wonder where he is." Then realizing that there were other Garou, she says, " I need to come in and meet the others."

[Happy]

He looks excited then calms down quickly. "Yes, but see the thing is I...I just don't have a key to this gate. Umm, come through the umbra.....?"

[cmiranda123]

"Fine." (I have to make a Gnosis test, right? It's been awhile. Rock>Scissors) She steps sideways into the umbra.

[Happy]

Seeing her step sideways Liam pulls out his torches and prepares them, before hiding behind a nearby tree.

Edith crosses through into the park and steps back into the physical realm. "Alright, I'm in. Where can I find the others?"

[Happy]

Liam steps out from the tree line with his torches lit, and blows a fireball into the air. "This way we will try and find Carry or Devon, and your raven friend. What brings you here Edith?" He asks with a soft smile.

"I'm mostly here to find Arcos.... wait, did you say Carry and Devon? Th-they're alive?!" She looks down at the ground. "Shit."

[Happy]

Liam looks at her a little confused..."yeah they were alive the last time I saw them. Is that a problem?" They continue walking towards the bawn looking for any of the elders.

"I fought along side them a year ago and then I left because I thought they had died. I abandoned them." The realization of her actions had really set in. "I am in deep shit."

[Happy]

Liam's usual smile, fell to a somber look. "I have heard much of the battle. I was given the call to come here before then, but as a Latrani traveling across the big pond from Ireland takes a while to arrange. Passports and such. All will be well, let's just find the others."

"Alright, well let's just find someone and get this over with." Edith follows Liam solemnly.

[Mouse]

As if the simple mentioning of her name had jerked her to that very section of the park, Carry came trotting into view in lupus form, a large rabbit dangling from her jaws. She notices Liam first, and pauses, dropping the rabbit and letting out a friendly yip.

"Hello, Carry. It's been a while." Edith says, bowing her head in shame and respect.

[Happy]

{Nice, Liam pulled Carry out of Hammer Space}

Seeing Carry, Liam smiles and runs ahead towards her. "Carry, this is Edith she just arrived. She says she knows you and Devon." As he finishes he does a cartwheel, excited to have completed his quest.

[Mouse]

Carry looks over to Edith, and realization comes over her wolfy face. She remains deathly still at first, staring Edith down. Then, a low growl begins in the Bone Gnawer's throat, the sound growing in intensity until it boils over into a snarl of rage. Carry charges, exploding upwards into her breed form as she races towards the other woman. Still nearly ten feet away, she leaps, her teeth bared.

Carry hits Edith with the force of a small semi, and claws immediately go for shoulder and throat. Using the momentum from her leap, she bowls Edith over, flipping the woman up over her, and then back under, pinning her shoulders to the ground under her large paws. She lets out a roar at the woman.

Liam jumps back suprised before shifting into Latrani and laying down watching what was to unfold.

Edith trys to fight back, but her lack of experience and youth are her downfall and she accepts her beating. "I THOUGHT YOU ALL WERE DEAD!! I'M SO SORRY!! It was not my intention to abandon you." She gasps, breathing heavily.
