After walking around for a while and seeing no one, Devon takes a seat on the bawn near where a large triangular building used to be before Cherokee park was bought up.

[Mr Speaks]

A screwdriver falls from the sky and stabs into the ground near Devon.

"Fuck," Eli shouts, clinging to the very top of the pyramid.

"You mind bringing me that?"

Devon quirks an eyebrow. His head tilted back, he asks, "What are doing up there?"

[Mr Speaks]

"Installing several cameras, you can see quite far from up here. I assume."

"What's up?"

[DerekCase]

Devon snags the screwdriver and monkeys his way up the building. He crouches on his heels atop the buttress. "I don't know, Eli. It's a bit harder to find a mate than I thought it would be."

[Mr Speaks]

He grabs the screwdriver, and responds, seeming alittle less empathetic than he usually does, "hmm... You have no kin?"

He holds a camera in place and then drive a screw into the wood with just the screwdriver.

Devon shrugs, "None. I'm an adopted Glasswalker. And the trouble with being an ahroun is that people avoid you. What's been going on with you?"

[Mr Speaks]

He pauses a moment before driving in another screw.

"Nothing really, I don't have the same obligations as you. I've just been trying to better the caern," He stops moving completely for several seconds before lowering his hand, "honestly, I'm afraid the even leave the Caern Devon. We lost Iroquis. I don't know what do do with myself. I mean it wasn't my Caern, but it's right there! What if they come here?!"

He slumps back a bit, "I'm a bit afraid man."

"We all are, Eli. Fear is in our nature. The end times, the wyrm, the human corruption, the na,ebreaker, and leeches are all really good reasons to be afraid. The metis are unlucky enough to be born knowing these fears. But we're strong, and we have each other, man. Nothing is touching this place. I'll die before I let that happen."

[Mr Speaks]

"Dieing is easy though."

El stares blankly at the screwdriver in his hand, "the orpession on us is almost insurmountable Devon. We know absolutely nothing of what is happneing in this city. If we did, we could have at least predicted that may have happened. But we didn't, we kknow the problem but how do we even start to fix it? Who do we talk to, where do we look? What destroyed the Iroquis Caern? Whatever it was, it was fucking huge! So much damage in such a short time. What cvan do that?

[DerekCase]

Devon shrugs. "Namebreakers, leeches, fomori, maybe even some regular humans. I've thought about it a lot, and I don't think it helps to. We're investing heavily in this place. We're stonger than we have been since speaks and fights lefts. We can do more to protect the caern, recruit more fera, work on connecting with the other nearby caerns. There will be progress."
