The Homid's mess - 2/16/09

[Mr Speaks]

Speaks of Mist walks about the Iroquis Bawn, picking up trash that lays scattered about everywhere. The trees had been empty for so long the the homid's had littered everywhere. Slowly destroying it like they did the rest of their city.

[Mouse]

Rhia - Homid

Rhia comes running up behind Speaks, a bag full of cans flung over her shoulder, nearly larger than her. "Wait up Speaks!" she whines. "Your legs are longer than mine!"

[Mr Speaks]

"What a mess, this place has changed so much since we moved to the Cherokee Caern. It's amazing what they can do in a year, to destroy Gaia."

[Mouse]

Rhia nods slowly, having finally caught up with Speaks. "It is really bad...though it doesn't look like anything other than garbage, which we can pick up easily." she says.

"It would be a lot better if everyone just used the trash cans though...that is why they are there..."

[Mr Speaks]

"Maybe a Crinos Gurahl could convince them to use the trash," he says dully.

[Mouse]

Rhia chuckles. "Or maybe me in Rara Avis? That's just scary...or maybe more silly. People would be more likely to laugh than throw their garbage away."

[Mr Speaks]

A young boy walks past them, and snickers softly tossing a plastic cup on the ground.

Speaks growls softly, then activates the gift Threaten.

The boy looks at him and quivers. Then picks the cup up puts it in a trashcan and runs.

[Mouse]

Rhia sticks her tongue out at the boy as he runs away, and then leans down to grab a hamburger wrapper, stuffing it into the garbage bag she carried.

"Good going Speaks."

[Mr Speaks]

"They'll learn."

He continues moving about and cleaning up various things.

[Mouse]

Rhia follows silently for a while, before piping up again. "There were a lot of new people...what do you think of them Speaks?"

[Mr Speaks]

"Together they seem adept. Though alone I think they'd falter and fall. They are young. We need to watch them carefully."

[Mouse]

Rhia nods slightly, pausing for a moment and putting down the garbage bag. "I suppse regardless we really can't be picky right now, can we?"

[Mr Speaks]

"Depends on how you at it? Are the lower ranks more soldiers in the fight. Or are they a burden on the higher ranks?"

[Mouse]

Rhia hmms softly as she hefts the bag again. "I suppose it matters on each person. Some of them are good fighters. Are good warriors. Are good leaders and good protectors."

[Mr Speaks]

Speaks nods, "Yes, well once we put them into Packs, then we'll see how they sit."

[Mouse]

Rhia nods, scrunching her face thoughtfully. "I wonder what totems they'll pick...maybe there will be another Helios pack..." She gives a sad smile.

[James]

James is actully in the park as well as he walks among the trees. Occasunally he picks up litter gently putting it into an empty paper bag in is hand. He appears to have other goals though then trash pick up as he wanders through the trees clumsly trying to not draw attention to himself.
